FANS
Rays: Domed stadium, cowbells, catwalks.
Rangers: Texas heat, hitter-friendly dimensions, the "Claw" and "Antlers."
The Rays didn't necessarily have packed houses when it was clinching time recently, but you can bet Tropicana Field will be packed for the team's second trip to the postseason. Add cowbells or whatever gadgets the promotional staff comes up with and put them in a dome that amplifies noise like nothing else, and you will have one of the loudest buildings in the ALDS.
But Texas' fan base is more established -- more than 30,000 a game came out to watch the Rangers this season -- and the hitter-friendly confines at Rangers Ballpark in Arlington tailor to Texas' power-packed lineup perfectly.
