USA Today's Bob Nightengale reports that the Phillies have acquired Michael Young from the Rangers. Young accepted the deal after getting $1.2 million in benefits from the Rangers and a full no-trade clause from the Phillies. The Rangers are expected to cover $10 million of the $16 million owed to Young next season and will receive right-hander Josh Lindblom and prospect right-hander Lisalverto Bonilla. According to Nightengale, Young has informed the Phillies he is not willing to sign an extension. The 36-year-old will serve as the Phillies' starting third baseman in 2013.
